My biggest challenge is to raise £4040.40 for charity. I have chosen four charities, each of which are important to me for very different reasons and I have set up individual ‘JustGiving’ pages to assist me in the fundraising process. Please view my forty challenges and dig deep to help me on my quest to raise money for these fabulous charities.

My 40 Challenges for ‘Nepal’ – Classroom in the Clouds

Having spent considerable time in Nepal over the last four years I am grown fond of the Nepali people, their generosity and positivity and their beautiful mountains. Education is critical for the success of each generation and so I hope to raise money to support this worthy charity:

“Our mission is to build classrooms and sponsor teachers. We support sustainable education for Nepalese children in the remotest, poorest regions of Nepal. We support teacher training and seek to improve children’s schooling so they can stay on and complete their School Leaving Certificate.”

My 40 Challenges for ‘Heart’ – Arrhythmia Alliance

This illness affects two very important people in my life and I hope that by supporting the charity I will be able to support other sufferers and their families to come to terms with their illnesses:

“Arrhythmia Alliance (A-A), The Heart Rhythm Charity®: working together to improve the diagnosis, treatment and quality of life for all those affected by arrhythmias.”

My 40 Challenges for ‘Sport’ – Lincoln Football Club Sport & Education Trust

Sport has played a huge part in my life and, having spent many years in Lincoln, I feel it is time for me to give back to my local sporting community. Lincoln FC does that and much more:

“Lincoln FC work in the local community delivering sport & activities to improve health and social well-being, including school PE, holiday clubs and young player development centres. Plus specialist services, including a disability programme, mental health project, activities for the elderly and much more.”

“The Samaritans is available round the clock, every single day of the year providing a safe place for anyone struggling to cope, whoever they are, however they feel, whatever life has done to them.”
